Kannada star hero Rakshit Shetty is extremely happy with the way his latest film performed at the box office. The film titled 777 Charlie revolves around the relationship between a human and a dog. Apparently, we hear that the film collected over 100 Cr rupees in less time.
The film collected 75 crores from the Kannada version alone and bagged 4 crores in Tamilnadu, 4 crores in Telugu states, 5 crores in Kerala, and 5 crores 50 lakhs in other places. Also, the movie grossed 7 crores and 50 lakhs in overseas and stood as the first film of Sandalwood that achieved this honor in the non-action genre. This shows how engaging stories are bringing audiences to theatres even amid OTT rule and Charlie 777 stood as the best example of the same.
The digital rights to the film’s Kannada version were sold to Voot, and the filmmaker reports that the rights to the film’s other versions are in high demand.
Directed by Kiranraj K. The film also stars Rakshit Shetty, Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Bobby Simha, and Danish Sait.
