Amidst a lot of controversies because of director MS Raja Shekhar Reddy, finally Nithin’s Macharela Niyojakavargam hit the screens today. Touted as an action entertainer, let’s see how the flick is.
Story:
The story starts with Rajappa(Samuthirakani) introduction as a bad guy in Macharal. Rajappa wins seven times unanimously as MLA from Macherla constituency. Later Siddhartha Reddy (Nithiin) gets a posting as a district collector for the Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Then he goes against the local rowdy and politician Rajappa. Why did Siddhartha went to Macherla? Did Siddhu successfully conduct the elections in Macherla ? forms the crux
What’s Entertaining & What’s Boring:
Except a few comedy scenes here and there and then the Anjali’s item song, there is nothing much entertaining in the film.
The story of the film is quite routine and has nothing new to showcase. Few love scenes look forced and were not needed at all. After the initial fifteen minutes in the first half, the pace drops a bit. There is not much story to showcase here at this time and this adds to the extended run time. The biggest drawback is the director’s story which has a simple line and nothing much to talk about.
Performance of Cast & Crew
Nithin is back with a new outing after a long gap. He is seen in a full-length mass avatar. While most of his last films portrayed him in a class look, this film helps him cater to both the class and mass. He does well in his role with required fun and intensity.
Krithi Shetty plays a routine commercial cinema heroine in the true sense. She has nothing to show as an actor. Catherine Tresa also has nothing much to offer. Samuthirakani offers fabulous Performance as usual. Vennela Kishore tried to evoke a few laughs with his great performance, but failed utterly because of the director’s poor writing.
First Half & Second Half:
Right from the start, there is something off with Macherla Niyojakavargam. First half is totally filled with an old-age story and Vennela Kishor’s irritating comedy. Not much story happens in the first half. Though the film starts interesting with the powerful Villain introduction, by the time things get settled down and some drama happens related to the hero, the issue plaguing the movie becomes even more transparent.
With Nithin joining as collector, the audience pins hopes on the second half. But again the story becomes totally predictable. The second half also suffers from the above-mentioned problems. There are small parts which give a good impression in the second half , but overall a high is missing.
Impressive:
Nithin’s Mass Avatar
Anjali’s Item Song
Unimpressive:
Routine Plot
Dull Screenplay
Songs
Editing
‘The IBC News’ take on Macherla Niyojakavargam:
On the whole, Macherla Niyojakavargam is an out-dated action entertainer only with a positive point of Nithin and Samuthirakani impressive acting. With the routine story, wafer-thin line, the movie is quite predictable right from the first scene. Failed direction and lengthy action sequences makes the film totally a dull fair.
One-Line Review:
Macherla Niyojakavargam fails to carry Tollywood’s hit streak of last week
