Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Today, 30th September, announced an initiative named FAME, introducing electric buses across the nation. He also flagged off the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express semi-high speed train at today morning.
Modi flagged off the train from Gandhinagar Capital railway station around morning 10:30 am. Later, he boarded the train for a ride between Gandhinagar and Kalupur railway station in Ahmedabad.
This train will connect the capital cities of Maharashtra and Gujarat and is the third Vande Bharata Express in the country. The first such train was started on New Delhi-Varanasi route, while the second one on New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra route.
Talking about this, Modi took to his twitter and wrote, “Travelled on board the Vande Bharat Express! It was a delight to meet women start-up entrepreneurs, talented youth, those associated with the Railways team and those involved in building the Vande Bharat train. It was a memorable journey”.
This Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Superfast Express will start its commercial run from October 1 and will operate six days a week except Sundays. The train will depart from the Mumbai Central station at 6:10 am and reach Gandhinagar at 12:30 pm. For the return journey, the train will depart from Gandhinagar at 2:05 pm and arrive at Mumbai Central at 8:35 pm.
