Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 5G services in India

India has entered into a new phase of Telecommunications. The country launched the 5G services on Saturday. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched it at a special event. In the same event, the Reliance Industries’ chairman Mukesh Ambani promised that Jio will offer 5G plans at the lowest rates.

Ambani announced that Jio will ensure to offer the highest quality and most affordable rates that anyone else has in the world. Jio is reportedly working towards taking the 5G services to every nook and corner of the country. The telecom operator is promising to offer 5G to each corner of India by December 2023.

At the 6th Edition of India Mobile Congress 2022 event, Modi was demonstrated the benefits of 5G services. It is a four-day event, which is being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Several top companies like Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Qualcomm participated in the event.

Modi tried to understand the indigenous development of end-to-end 5G technology. He then visited stalls of Airtel, Vodafone Idea, C-DOT, and others at the event, along with paying a visit to the Jio stalls.

Airtel has announced that it will roll out 5G in 8 cities starting today but did not mention the names of the cities. Vodafone Idea will also begin 5G roll out soon.
