Shahbaz Ahmed and Kuldeep Sen to replace Jadeja and Yash Dayal in Bangladesh ODI series

Shahbaz Ahmed and Kuldeep

Team India will be touring Bangladesh in December for three ODI and two Test match series. The squads for both series were announced earlier this month. Meanwhile, BCCI has now named Pacer Kuldeep Sen and all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed as replacements for Yash Dayal and Ravindra Jadeja, who are ruled out of the tour due to injuries.

Kuldeep and Shahbaz are part of India’s ODI series in New Zealand. But, they have been pulled out of this series and included in the Bangladesh ODI series. No replacements have been named for these two players in the New Zealand tour.

Jadeja suffered an injury during Asia Cup a couple of months ago. He was expected to recover by the Bangladesh series but he didn’t. Thus, the selectors had to drop him. On the other side, Yash Dayal had a recent lower back issue, which made him drop from the series.

India’s ODI series against Bangladesh will start on December 4. The Test series begins on December 14. Rohit Sharma will lead the side. Here are the ODI squad of the Bangladesh series.

Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tripathi, Rishabh Pant (WK), Ishan Kishan (WK), Shahbaz Ahmed, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Kuldeep Sen.
