The IBC News Rating

After scoring a decent hit with Naandi, Allari Naresh is back with another interesting social drama, Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam. Directed by AR Mohan, the film’s trailer has enticed the audience, and the film has hit the big screens today. Let’s see how the film is…

Story:

The story of the film revolves around a government school teacher Srinivas Sriapda(Allari Naresh). Meanwhile, Allari Naresh will be sent for election duty to the tribal area. In the process, one person called (Appana) doesn’t like to cast his vote for a particular political party but he will get killed by that respective political people. Srinivas will fight to get justice for Appana. What happened next? How Srinivas fought against tribal issues in Itlu Maredumilli Prajaneekam forms the crux.

What’s Entertaining & What’s Boring:

Major asset of the film is its political content and fabulous performances. Director’s narration is good as he handles the story in a taut manner and sets up the characters nicely.

One would expect a gripping drama mainly in the first half and climax part. But that does not happen and Story looks more predictable.

Performance of Cast & Crew

Allari Naresh did complete justice to his character. He shines effortlessly in all the scenes with his emotional acting. He carries the entire film on his shoulder. Anandhi has limited screen presence but is perfect in her role. Vennela Kishore has done a great job. Raghu Babu, Sampath Raj, Praveen and the rest of the cast does equal justice to their character in the movie.

Coming to technical aspects, the film has a very good screenplay. Dialogues are quite impressive and the editing is good. The production values are good. Coming to the director Vijay, he has done a decent job with the film. Major plus point is that, director did not deviate from the film with commercial elements and stayed true to the storyline. However, if he added more gripping scenes in the first half and climax part, the film would have been more effective.

First Half & Second Half:

The first half of the film proceeds at a leisure pace with an interesting backdrop. Performances are the heart and soul of the movie. Though the story and proceedings are quite predictable, the scenes hold the attention. Interval bang is decent. Second half starts on a high note. However, the pace of the film slightly slows down in the pre-climax.
