Argentina finally won the FIFA World Cup under Football legend Lionel Messi’s leadership. A fitting finish to the “GOAT”, France vs Argentina is being rated as one of the greatest football finals ever. This event was followed by people all over the world while Google, the most popular search engine vc registered its “highest traffic in 25 years”.

Mbappe vs Messi, a cracker final was in for football fans on Sunday. Though the first half was dominated by Argentina with 2 goals, Kylian Mbappe turned the game around in the last 10 mins with two goals back to back. This pushed the game further into extra time where both scored one goal and the scores levelled at 3-3. In Shootouts, Argentina’s goalkeeper Martínez saved the day for them, making Argentina the winner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Lusail Stadium, Qatar. Argentina fans’ joy knew no bounds and they took to various social media platforms to express their happiness.

In this event, Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai tweeted the following, “ Search recorded its highest ever traffic in 25 years during the final of #FIFAWorldCup, it was like the entire world was searching about one thing!”Even in India, though India isn’t taking part in the FIFA World Cup, this event was the third highest searched event in India.
