Recently, Vijay Deverakonda attended the trailer launch event of Liger in Mumbai wearing shiny slippers. His footwear caught everyone’s attention at the event, including the chief guest Ranveer Singh. Apparently, those slippers are worth only Rs.199. Vijay’s stylist Harmann Kaur revealed the news in a recent interview.
Harmann said that Vijay wanted to stay close to the character he plays in Liger. He wanted to give an underdog look even in the promotions. Apparently, Vijay asked Harmann to give him basic slippers for the Mumbai event. Harmann was hesitant initially but she also knows that Vijay knows how to pull off everything and make a fashion statement.
Initially, they planned to go for basic tees. Later, Vijay came up with the idea of custom tees with a very basic style. Harmann, along with Rowdy Wear’s team, had put the ideas together and made these outfits in a short span of time. Harmann was skeptical about Vijay’s footwear and she was nervous about how will it be received. But she is glad that his outfit and styling got a good response from media and fans.
