More filmmakers from the West are praising S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus “RRR”. Now the British director Edgar Wright joins the list by calling this Tollywood period action epic an “absolute blast”.
Edgar Wright, the man behind blockbuster films like “Baby Driver”, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and “Last Night in Soho”, said he recently saw “RRR” at the British Film Institute (BFI) and found it an “entertaining” watch.
Praising RRR, on Saturday, this popular film maker took to his twitter and wrote, “Finally saw @RRRMovie on the big screen at the @BFI with a great crowd. What an absolute blast. So entertaining. The only film I have ever seen where the intermission card itself got a round of applause,”.
Meanwhile, happy with such a compliment from the British director, RRR’s official page thanked him and wrote “This is driving us crazy. We are elated to hear from you. Thank you so much @edgarwright!!”.
Released in March, “RRR” has bagged over Rs 1,200 crore at the global box office. The film has Tollywood superstars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
