Vijay Deverakonda’s latest outing Liger is in theatres now. Directed by Puri Jagannath, this action drama was released the other day. It took a great start in both the Telugu states. It collected a share of Rs. 13.35 crores on the first day.
Liger happens to be Vijay’s first pan-India film. It was made on a huge budget by Dharma Productions and PC Connects. According to the reports, Vijay took a remuneration of Rs. 35 crores for this film. Leading lady Ananya Panday has apparently got Rs. 3 crores as remuneration. Ramya Krishna, who played Vijay’s mother, was given Rs. 1 crore and Ronit Roy, who played MMA coach, was paid Rs. 1.5 crores. Popular boxer Mike Tyson also played an important role in the movie. We hear that even he was paid a handsome amount to act in the film.
The makers decided to shell out huge money for these actors’ remunerations. Meanwhile, Liger has been receiving mixed responses from the viewers. It has to be seen how the film fares at the box office.
