The debate about which film should be sent for the Oscars has finally come to an end. The Film Federation of India picked a Gujarathi film for the Oscars. Everyone thought that RRR will be sent for the Oscars but it is a bad news for the team and many who wanted the Rajamouli directorial to score well at the international level.
Already, many celebrities came up with different opinions on the same. Interestingly, R Madhavan has shared some interesting things about which film could have been sent to the Oscars.
Madhavan said that India should have an Oscars equivalent. He also said that Rocketry: The Nambi Effect and The Kashmir Files should also be considered for Oscars nomination. Madhava made this statement during the promotions of his upcoming film Dhokha Round D Corner.
“It’ll be good to have the mantle, it will be a different thing. The only difference with Oscar is that anybody who gets it in the West, there’s a huge difference in their stature, income, salary, in the way they proceed in the industry.” said Madhavan, in an interview with India Today.
Gujarathi film The Last Film Show is sent as India’s official entry for the Oscars.
