Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan is performing well at the box office currently. The historical period drama is minting big numbers at the box office worldwide. As per an official statement from the makers today, the movie has crossed an amount of 300 Cr rupees at the box office, which is huge for a Tamil film in recent times. So far, at the Tamil box office, only four films have managed to collect more than 300 crores at the box office. They are 2.0, Bigil, Vikram and now Ponniyin Selvan.
Not just that, the film is doing well at the USA as well. The film has collected a gross of over $4,740,198 rupees as of now. The movie is all set to cross the $5M mark this week. The breakdown as per language is as follows:
