After scoring his career’s biggest disaster with Acharya earlier this year, Megastar Chiranjeevi came back hard with his latest film Godfather. Right from the first day first show, this political drama gained a positive response from the audience and emerged to be a winner at the box office.
According to the trade reports, Godfather collected a gross of over 62.55 crores until now and it is expected to join the 100-crore club this weekend. The Dasara holiday season became an advantage for the film. As it garnered positive talk, families are visiting theatres in big numbers to watch it. Godfather proves to be a clear winner over its competitors, The Ghost and Swathi Muthyam.
Godfather is an official remake of the 2019 Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer. Directed by Mohan Raja, this film features Salman Khan in a brief cameo. Salman’s presence helped the movie in doing well across North India. Due to a tremendous response to the Hindi version, around 600 screens are added to Godfather in the northern belt.
Godfather features Nayanthara, Satya Dev, Murali Sharma, Brahmaji, Sunil and Divi Vadthya in the other key roles. Thaman composed the music for it. Mega Super Good Films bankrolled the project. Konidela Production Company presented it.
