Ponniyin Selvan is one of the recently released Tamil films. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film features a bunch of talented actors. The film’s collections are currently encouraging. The movie set up a new record at the Tamilnadu box office now, by earning 186 crore rupees so far. It has resulted in a new record that the movie crossed the collections of Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
Kamal Haasan’s Vikram made an amount of 183 Cr rupees only, at the box office in its run. Since Ponniyin Selvan is still performing well at the box office, there is a fair chance of the movie making a money of 200 Cr rupees at the box office.
Chiyaan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Parthiban, and Kishore, among others who played the key characters of the film. AR Rahman scored the music of the film.
Mani Ratnam produced the film along with Lyca Productions banner. The film hit the screens on September 30. The film was released in multiple languages but the Tamil version alone has become a big hit.
