‘Kantara’ has become a recent sensational film just with strong word of mouth & decent promotions. At first, the film received rave reviews in its maiden language, and this made the traders to dub the film into regional languages, including Hindi. Upon it’s release, the film beats beats ‘Rocketry’, ‘Vikram’ & ‘Godfather’ Day 1 collection at the Hindi Box office.
Rishab Shetty has advocated a big hit with ‘Kantara’ in hindi too. Great reviews were pouring in early for the film, praising the nativity & performances. According to early reports, the film has collected around the numbers of Rs 1.25 CR – Rs 1.50 CR. Needless to say, that a huge number considering the new faces & a Kannada film market in the Hindi belt.
Surprisingly, it crossed Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry’, which made around 1.2 CR, with a known face Madhavan & huge scale promotions including prime time spot in Hindi mainstream media. It did cross Kamal’s Vikram and Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’ too, but they all were up against big stars like Shah Rukh, Aamir & Salman. ‘Kantara’ bags a huge advantage in this aspect!
