With the emergence of OTT platforms in the Telugu film circles, the satellite market is getting disturbed. Not just the prices for the satellite rights is going down but also the TRP ratings is coming down. The trend is rapidly spreading in the Telugu states as well as Tamilnadu and is going for other film industries as well. Now, the blockbuster Vikram delivered less TRP when compared with flop film Acharya in TV. This is a shocking trend.
Kamal Haasan joined hands with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for the film Vikram. The film has become a big hit at the box office not just in Tamil but also Telugu. The film minted big profits everywhere. But, surprisingly, the film generated a TRP of around 4.2 in the first viewing. The film was already out on Disney+ Hotstar and it could be a reason for the same.
On the other hand, disaster Acharya has generated a little more than 6 TRP in the first premiere. Chiranjeevi joined hands with director Koratala Siva for the project and it also had Mega Powerstar Ram Charan in a crucial role. The film failed to impress the fans and general audience at the box office. The film was also made available on Amazon Prime Video.
