There is no stopping for Drishyam 2 at the box office. Ever since its release on November 18, this Ajay Devgn-starrer film is having a sensational run in theatres. Audiences are flocking into theatres and made it a unanimous hit. As a result, Drishyam 2 emerged as one of the biggest hits in Bollywood this year.
According to the latest trade reports, the film crossed the 175-crore mark at the box office. Even in its third weekend, the film had a good run in theatres. It collected Rs. 4.45 crore on Friday and Rs. 8.45 crore on Saturday. With this, the collections reached Rs. 176.38 crores. It is heard that the collections are pretty good on Sunday as well.
As there are no significant releases till Avatar 2 (December 16), Drishyam 2 may have a good theatrical run in North India. It is predicted that the movie will also join the 200-crore club very soon.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, Drishyam 2 is an official remake of the Malayalam film of the same name. It features Shriya Saran, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles. South Indian music director Devi Sri Prasad composed the music for this movie.
