Recently, star writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has been given the Rajya Sabha ticket under the non-politician category. After this move, an old video of him speaking about Mahatma Gandhi is now going viral all over the internet. During the promotions of RRR, Vijayendra Prasad made some interesting and controversial comments on Gandhi.
He said that Gandhi is the one who was the main reason to make Jawaharlal Nehru. “When the Britishers asked Gandhi to choose a Prime Minister, Gandhi called 17 PCC presidents and asked them to choose a candidate for Prime Minister’s post. 15 of them voted for Sardar Vallabhai Patel. 1 of them voted for Acharya Krupalani and the remaining one left the chit blank.”
“Gandhi was not happy with the decision. He then asked Patel to support Nehru for the Prime Minister post and ultimately made Nehru the PM. If Gandhi had any respect for democracy, Patel would have been our first Prime Minister,” he further added.
Prasad went on to say that if Patel was our PM, there would have been no turmoil in Kashmir. This video is being praised by Ring-wing supporters while the left-wing admirers are criticizing Prasad for making such remarks.
