TS govt declares 3 days holidays for all educational institutions

In the wake of incessant rains in the state, the government of Telangana declared holidays for all the educational institutions from July 11 to July 13. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that the decision has been taken to ensure that there is no loss of life or property due to the rains.

KCR held a meeting with the state officials on Sunday afternoon and reviewed the impact of rains across the state. All the government officials are ordered to stay alert and take necessary precautions to avoid any loss of life or property amid this torrential rainfall.

KCR also reviewed the prevailing water levels in various reservoirs, dams, tanks and other water bodies across the state. The officials were also asked to evacuate people from the low-lying areas. CM also ordered the deployment of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State DRF and other rescue teams for rescue operations in flood-affected areas.

The state’s chief secretary Somesh Kumar stated that heavy rains are reported in the districts of Peddapalli, Siricilla, Bhupalpally, Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Mulugu.
