Netflix is the top and costliest streaming service in the world. The streaming service is still in the development mode in India but the choice of projects by the streaming giant is always surprising. Earlier, they commissioned a web series on the Sivagami character from the Baahubali series, but, later, they scrapped it. Now, the streaming giant is planning to get Rajamouli on board to revive the project.
Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru have worked on the project but the output seems to be not satisfactory. Netflix wants to revive the project only if Rajamouli comes on board as showrunner. In this case, the streaming giant wants to invest 100 Cr on the project and also provide a fancy amount to the Baahubali director.
We hear that Rajamouli is planning to launch his son Karthikeya as a director for a long time. If everything goes well, Rajamouli wants to introduce Karthikeya as a director for the project while he will be the show runner.
It looks like a very good deal for Rajamouli from Netflix. We have to see if he will accept it.
