Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is all set to become one of the biggest disasters in Indian cinema this year. Right from the first day, the film has been generating unanimous negative talk. After the weekend, the collections were disastrous as many shows were cancelled across the country due to the lack of an audience.
According to the trade reports, Liger has collected Rs. 26.5 crores in its four-day run and is expected to collect 27.5 crores by the end of the fifth day. These are figures of only South India. It is predicted that the distributors will incur a loss of more than 50 crores.
The situation is not any different in the Hindi belt. The Hindi version of the film earned 15 crores so far and it may collect Rs. 20 crores in its full run. After the likes of Jersey and Jayeshbhaai Jordaar, Liger is set to become a disastrous venture in Bollywood.
Directed by Puri Jagannath, Liger features Ananya Panday as the female lead. Dharma Productions and Puri Connects have jointly bankrolled the project.
