Ghulam Nabi Azad announces own party in Kashmir

The 73-year-old Ghulam Nabi Azad, who had earlier ended his decades-old relationship with Congress, on Sunday revealed few interesting things in his highly-anticipated political rally that has taken place in Jammu and Kashmir.

During this rally, announcing the start of his new party in Kashmir, Azad said, “I’ve not decided upon a name for my party yet. The people of J&K will decide the name and the flag for the party. I’ll give a Hindustani name to my party that everyone can understand,”

Further, Azad added that his party will focus mainly on the restoration of full statehood, right to land and employment to native domicile.

Above all, Ghulam Nabi Azad made shocking comments on Congress at the rally, adding that the “party was made by us by our blood, not by computers, not by Twitter. People are trying to defame us but their reach is limited to computers and tweets. That is the reason Congress is nowhere to be seen on the ground,”.

However, criticizing his new political journey, Congress leaders gave a counter to Azad, saying his “DNA has been Modi-fied”. But Azad, while praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has said that someone’s DNA does not change “if you meet people from other political parties and talk to them”. With this strong step by him, we have to wait and see how it is going to work out in future.
