Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan is currently in the news as the team is gearing up with the film’s promotions. The film’s trailer already became a big hit in all languages. Meanwhile, we have come to know that the film’s business is going strong. The theatrical business is already completed, and we hear that the film’s digital rights are sold for a fancy amount.
A popular streaming service reportedly grabbed the film’s OTT rights for a whopping Rs. 125 Cr rupees for all the languages. The makers might release the film on OTT only after the film completes a run of 30 days in theatres.
Sensational producer Dil Raju will be releasing the Telugu version of the film, and a big promotional event is expected to be held soon in Hyderabad.
Jayam Ravi, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi, among others play important roles. Sensational composer AR Rahman is scoring the music for the prestigious project.
Billed to be the ancient periodic drama, the film is gearing up for a grand release in two parts.
The first part of Ponniyin Selvan is hitting the screens on 30th September.
