Bollywood couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ has broken yet another box office record, surpassing Yash starrer KGF-2, as the second-highest grossing movie ever on its opening weekend. According to the trade analysts, the social fantasy adventure film has earned 220 Cr on opening weekend, passing Ranbir’s previous successful venture Sanju, which grossed 120 Cr in first weekend.
Having released in 9000 screens all the world, this movie is also number one globally for this weekend. While the KGF-2 collected 193+ Cr on first weekend of release, Brahmastra emerged as first Hindi movie to enter 200-Cr club at the box-office. But, it goes down without a fight with Rajamouli’s RRR which has minted 500+ Cr for the opening weekend in all languages.
Brahmastra saw a fabulous day-1 at the box office with a worldwide collection of Rs 75 Cr. Despite several poor and average reviews for the movie, Brahmastra is doing wonders at the box-office. The film also stars Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan and special cameo by King of Bollywood – Shahrukh Khan.
