Actor Simbu and director Gautham Vasudev Menon teamed up for the third time for their latest film, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. This gangster drama got released on September 15. Upon its release, the film is getting a positive response from the viewers and is having a good run at the box office.
According to the trade reports, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu collected over Rs. 7 crores on its opening day at the box office across India. The earnings improved on the second day as it collected over Rs.13.05 crores on Friday. On the whole, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu earned more than 20 crores in two days. It is expected to have a good run over the weekend.
It was revealed that the film had an overall occupancy of 27.49 in Tamil Nadu on Friday. This is expected to improve on Saturday and Sunday. The trade experts also stated that Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is on the Top-5 box office charts of UAE, Singapore and Malaysia.
Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu features Sidhi Idnani as the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar and Neeraj Madhav played other important roles in the movie. Ishari K Ganesh produced the project and AR Rahman composed the music for it. The Telugu version of the film, Life of Muthu, hits the screens today.
