Director Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy drama Brahmastra is now eyeing the Rs 250 crore mark after registering a solid uptick in ticket sales on its second Monday. According to trusted reports, the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer collected in the range of Rs. 4.65 to 5.15 crores on its 11th day of release, taking total collections to Rs. 213 crores.

With this, the film is expected to finish its second week with the collections approximately Rs. 225 crores.

This much needed hit for Bollywood industry is working well at the 3D-equipped centers, whereas the 2D version of the film is doing below par and is just giving some support to boost the collections. Brahmastra is already considered as the second highest grossing film of Bollywood in the pandemic times by surpassing the likes of Sooryavanshi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and it should be targeting the lifetime biz of The Kashmir Files at the end of its run.

Brahmastra was released amid Boycott trend from a certain section of social media. Although both critics and the audience gave the movie mixed reviews, the collections are good for the film.

Bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film also has Amitabh Bachan and Akkineni Nagarjuna in Crucial roles. Bollywood Badshah Sharukh Khan played a cameo role in the film.
