Ahead of the T20 World Cup, Team India is set to play two bilateral series against Australia and South Africa respectively. The T20I series against Australia begins today with the first game taking place at Mohali. India is looking forward to winning the series and boosting confidence for the World Cup.

Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel, who missed Asia Cup, will return to the squad. KL Rahul will open the innings with Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli will be the third batter and he is followed by Surya Kumar Yadav. If the management plans to have a left-hander, Rishab Pant may replace Dinesh Karthik in the playing XI. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel may take the roles of all-rounders. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel and Bumrah will be the front-line pacers. As there are not many left-handers in Australia, Yuzi Chahal may get a place ahead of Ashwin.

Coming to Australia, pinch-hitter Tim David will be making his debut tonight. Captain Finch and Matthew Wade may open the innings. They will be followed by Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Tim David and Cameron Green. Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Daniel Sams, Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar might be the bowlers in the playing XI.

The match starts at 07:00 PM. It will be telecasted on Star Sports Network and Disney+ Hotstar.
