After a long wait, Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram has scored a solid box-office hit in the form of ‘Bimbisara’. The film, which opened to positive response right from day-1 of theatrical release, has successfully managed to compete with Sita Ramam at the box-office. The super success of this movie gave a huge boost to Kalyan Ram’s acting career.
Directed by Vasishta and produced by K Harikrishna, Bimbisara is a socio-fantasy movie where Kalyan Ram was seen in dual roles. The lead actor’s amazing portrayal as a ruthless King Bimbisara received critical applause from the audiences. Now, this film is set to entertain viewers through its OTT release. According to our sources, Zee5 media has acquired digital rights of Bimbisara for a decent price and they are planning for an OTT release for Dussehra, i.e. on 7th October. An official announcement is likely to be made by Zee5 media in the near time.
At box-office, Bimbisara emerged as double blockbuster and collected a worldwide share of Rs 35+ Crore and recovered more than 200% in full run. Audio tunes and background score by MM Keerivani has given a magical touch to this film.
