Rashmika Mandanna is currently busy both in Bollywood as well as South-Indian film Industry. Apart from movies, the actress most of the times stands out in news for her rumoured relationship with Vijay Devarakonda.
Rashmika, who was previously engaged to ex-boyfriend Rakshit Shetty, got separated from him and later she was said to have developed a deep bond with Vijay Deverakonda on the sets of their first film Geetha Govindam. However, none of them announced their relationship officially. But right from the couple left for Maldives at the same time and from the same airport, the rumours of their relationship are gaining more strength. Meanwhile, Rashmika’s interview given to IBT, in 2020 was going viral on social media once again.
In an interaction with a popular magazine in 2020, Rashmika said, “Vijay provided me with comfort and care when I was still transitioning from my split with Rakshit Shetty. Additionally, with the help of Vijay I could realise that there was a world beyond all this waiting for me to embrace”.
“He (Vijay Deverakonda) is a simple guy who was happy in his own world. During Geetha Govindam, we were just friends, but there was a kind of spark that we could not ignore. At times, my heart kept saying ‘he is special, he is special.’ However, the equation changed once we started working together in Dear Comrade,” she added.
She further said, “At a point, I confessed my love to Vijay Deverakonda, but he was hesitant initially, but he too had that special feeling towards me. So, he accepted, and we are happy with the way our love has blossomed. He isn’t an insecure person like my ex-boyfriend Rakshit Shetty nor suggests that I sacrifice my career. He is a free-minded person and wants me to be independent forever.”
Talking about the marriage at that time, she had said, “I can assure you that the wedding is not on the cards for at least the next 5-7 years.”
Although both of them maintain a stance of being good friends, all these things are certainly adding fuel that the pair is more than friends!
