Akshay Kumar came up with ‘Ram Setu’ for this season. It was released on October 25 and is still struggling at the box office. The film had a great opening for Akshay this year but couldn’t maintain it for the whole theatrical run.
Needless to say, Akshay Kumar usually has a great opening for his films, but it started to decline from the first day itself. As of November 8, ‘Ram Setu’ suffered a huge drop again. According to the trade reports, the film collected around Rs. 1.05 CR across the whole country and the total collection now stands at Rs. 72.65 CR. For a film which collected Rs. 70 CR, it is a very long time not to score Rs. 75 CR and many are sharing the opening that the film has reached the end of its theatrical run.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, ‘Ram Setu’ is an action-adventure drama that follows an archaeologist investigating whether Ram Setu is a myth or reality. It stars Akshay alongside Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharucha. Co-produced by Akshay himself through his maiden banner Cape of Good Films, it is associated with Amazon Prime Video, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions.
