Kantara continues its dream run at the box office; inching towards the 350-crore mark

Kantara 350 cr collection

It has been more than a month since Kantara hit the screens and still, it is ruling the box office. Especially in Karnataka, the film is having a dream run in theatres. It is going strong in Telugu and Hindi circuits too. According to the latest trade reports, the film is inching towards the 350-crore mark.

The Bollywood trade reports suggest that the film will touch the 70-crore mark today. This is indeed a big achievement for a small regional film. It had beaten the likes of Thank God and Ram Setu and reached this achievement in the Hindi-speaking arena. It is heard that Kantara collected around Rs. 2-2.5 crores the other day in North India.

Even last week’s releases like Phone Bhoot, Mili and Double XL failed to beat Kantara and the latter outperformed all of them easily. This week, there are no significant releases in Hindi, apart from Amitabh Bachchan’s Uunchai. So, we can expect Kantara to do well this week too.

Kantara is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. He also played the lead role in it. The mystic thriller features Sapthami Gowda, Kishore and Achyut Kumar in the other key roles. Popular banner Hombale Films bankrolled the project.
