Samantha’s latest outing Yashoda is creating wonders at box-office. The film opened to a high positive response and gave a much needed hit for Sam.
Directed by Hari and Harish, the film hit the screens on November 11th. Released as a Pan-India movie, the film also stars Varalakshmi SarathKumar and Unni Mukundan in key roles.
Billed as an interesting thriller, Yashoda is having a dream run mainly at the USA box-office. However, with a USA box office on fire, the film is also performing exceptionally well in the Indian market.
As per the trade reports, the film on its third day, November 13, bagged great collections at the ticket counter and made over Rs 3.50 crore in India (nett) in all languages. The most interesting thing is that the film has surpassed $400k (Rs 3.2 crore) in the USA, which is high for any Female-centric film.
Going by the trade reports, the movie performed well during the weekend and is expected to go strong at the box office even on Monday. However, the performance of the film on this week days will determine Yashoda’s break-even possibility.
