Superstar Krishna no more

Superstar Krishna needs no introduction to the audiences in Telugu film industry. The legendary actor is no more now. The actor who suffered breathlessness and multi-organ failure succumbed to it after battling in the intensive care unit. With a career spanning more than 50 years, Superstar Krishna was very active in the film industry in multiple roles.

He covered multiple genres, including spy, historical, mythological, western, action, cowboy films.

Debuted with Thene Manasulu in 1965, he later did many super hit films like Alluri Sitaramaraju, Pandanti Kapuram, Simhasanam, Gudachari 116, James Bond 777, Agent Gopi and others. Not just as an actor but he is also extremely popular as a producer in Tollywood who made remarkable films under the Padmalaya Studios banner.

Krishna was conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan in 2009, which is the third-highest civilian award.

Everyone in the film industry knew that he is the first of firsts in Telugu.

He is the one who came up with

First Cinemascope film – Alluri Seetharama Raju (1974)

First Eastmancolor film – Eenadu (1982)
