Telugu films are no longer limited to Telugu audiences. Films like Baahubali and RRR are creating wonders across the globe. Mainly Japan is a new market for Telugu films. Even in the past Rajinikanth films like Muthu surprised everyone by bagging tremendous collections in Japan. And recently, the movie that created a big market for our movies is ‘Baahubali’. The film bagged fabulous collections there and set a record as the highest grossing Indian film after Muthu.

While Baahubali collected 360 million yen in its full run, ‘Muthu’ set a record with 400 million yen in the 90s. Later, everyone thought, no film can beat them. As a surprise to everyone, it looks like Rajamouli’s new film ‘RRR’ has set its sights on that record.

Rajamouli, NTR and Ram Charan strongly promoted ‘RRR’ in Japan. Also, the movie was released on a huge scale. RRR caught everyone’s attention with the collection of 75 million yen in the first week of its release itself. In the next three weeks, the movie did not slow down. At the end of four weeks, ‘RRR’ collected 250 million yen. It is noteworthy that the film ‘Baahubali’ took 36 weeks to reach the 250 million yen mark.

With such a speed at the ticket counter, now everyone is thinking that it’s a cakewalk for RRR to break the records of Muthu and Baahubali soon.
