Finally, Drishyam 2 gave a much-needed respite to the industry.
Starring Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in the lead roles, Drishyam 2 is an official remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name. Ajay Devgn scored a hit with Drishyam in 2015. After seven years, he came up with the sequel.
On the first day, Drishyam 2 registered an impressive number of Rs. 15. 38 crores at theatres. The positive mouth talk helped the film in getting better collections on Saturday. It earned Rs. 21.59 crores on the second day. The Sunday collections were even better as the film minted Rs. 27.17 crores at the box office.
On the whole, Drishyam 2 earned Rs. 61.14 crores and entered the 60-crore club in just three days. The trade pundits are expecting it to cross the 100-crore-mark this week. Apparently, Drishyam 2 had an overall 60.26% of occupancy on Sunday, which is very good. Finally, Bollywood got that much-needed hit in the form of this movie.
