Rishab Shetty, the lead actor and writer-director for his sensational hit Kantara recently went to Mangaluru to attend a Bhootha Kola along with his family. This has raised many speculations among fans and they are hoping that this is the start of Kantara 2. So, is Rishab Shetty getting ready to make a sequel for his Pan-Indian blockbuster Kantara?
Kantara, a film based on Dakshina Kannada cultural and local deity, grossed 400 crores worldwide making it a humongous success. Daiva Narthaka Umesh Gandhakadu said that Rishab visited to pray and seek blessings from God and to seek permission for making Kantara 2. He added that Rishab and his family were asked to perform Panjurli seva in Mangaluru and when he was in the Daiva Nartaka form, Gandhakadu made the request and God had provided consent for Kantara. On asking for more details, Gandhakadu said that he doesn’t remember much as he was in a trance.
However, Rishab responded to this by saying that he only visited Kola in order to fulfil a vow made to the god already. He said that he isn’t working on Kantara 2 any soon and there would be an official announcement if there is something like that. He is currently working on two films, one with Kannada superstar Sivanna and another titled Rudraprayag.
