Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that flexible workplaces, work from the home ecosystem, and flexible work hours are the need of the future and also highlighted the labor force’s role in India’s development.
While addressing the National conference of labor ministers of all states and union territories, Modi said India’s labor force plays a huge role in realizing India’s dreams and aspirations. He also reiterated some of the government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhanmantri Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana.
“According to a study, the emergency credit guarantee scheme saved 7.5 crore jobs during the pandemic. It is a country supporting its labor workers in times of need. The workers also have to put in their full strength in recovering from this pandemic,” said Modi.
“The country is now changing and simplified the 29 labor laws into four simple labor codes including minimum wages, job security, social security, and health security,” added Modi. He also said that the future needs flexible workplaces and a work-from-home ecosystem as the opportunity for women’s labor force participation also increases.
