Telangana witnesses a spike in COVID-19 cases

Of late, Telangana is witnessing a spike in COVID-19 cases once again. According to the reports, a total of 175 cases have been officially recorded in the state on Sunday, taking the total tally to 8,33,951. A total of 12,590 samples were tested the other day and the results of 132 were awaited.

The 175 cases include 98 from Hyderabad, 12 from Rangareddy and eight from Medchal district. The Health Bulletin stated that 252 people recovered on Sunday. As of now, a total of 8,27,763 were recovered from COVID-19, taking the recovery rate of the state to 99.26%.

On the other side, 1,22,012 vaccines were given on Sunday across Telangana. Out of them, 1,18,862 were booster doses. Meanwhile, the Health department requested children under 10 years and elders above 60 years to remain indoors and take necessary precautions as the cases are increasing in the state. People are also asked to strictly follow the COVID-19 protocols to stay safe from the coronavirus.
