Noted Bollywood actor and critic, Kamaal R Khan aka KRK, was arrested by Mumbai Police at the Mumbai Airport. He was arrested in regard to his controversial tweets about Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan made in 2020. KRK often takes a jibe at many Bollywood celebrities and their films.
He often makes controversial statements about several Hindi films, filmmakers and actors. Shiv Sena’s youth win Yuva Sena’s member Rahul Kanal filed a complaint against KRK for his controversial tweets about Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.
After the case was registered, KRK was detained at the Airport by the cops of Malad Police Station. After questioning, he was arrested and will be produced at Borivali Court at 11 PM on August 30. He was arrested under Sections 153A, 294, 500, 501, 505, 67, and 98 of the IPC.
In his official statement, Rahul Kanal said, “I welcome this move by Mumbai police. He (KRK) makes derogatory comments on social media and uses foul language. Such kind of behaviour is unacceptable in society. By arresting him, Mumbai police have sent out a strong message against such people.”
