Sensational actor Vijay Deverakonda teamed up with director Puri Jagannath for the first time, for the prestigious project Liger. The film ended up as a big disaster at the box office, leaving all the fans of Vijay in a huge disappointment. The duo already started working in another film titled JGM which is also reportedly a pan-India film.
In fact, Jana Gana Mana was supposed to feature Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Since Mahesh did not give dates for the film even after the official announcement of the film, the director decided to call it off and revive it with Vijay Deverakonda.
Cut to the present, with Liger failing miserably at the box office, there have been speculations in the trade circles that the film might be shelved. However, there is no official confirmation on this but the latest ongoing reports confirm that Puri Jagannath decided to call off the film.
The film already shot about 5 percent of the entire movie. But, both Vijay and Puri have reportedly decided to call off the film as they may not be able to make desired business, after the failure of Liger.
Though there is no official confirmation on the film’s status, we may hear an update on the same soon.
