To whom the Shiv Sena party belongs?
This has become a hot topic in Maharashtra politics.
Recently, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s party members approached the EC to recognize themselves as the original Shiv Sena, and later the same matter reached the Supreme Court. This is creating a lot of sensation in Maharashtra politics.
Generally, when such situations arise, EC recognizes a party with majority members as the original party. But there is a strange situation in Maharashtra right now.
Although the majority of MLAs and MPs went with Shinde, it seems that the party’s organizational structure still has faith in Uddhav. With this, both Uddhav and Shinde are having equal priority to get their hands on the Shiv Sena.
However, the court’s petitions seem to be in Shinde’s favor at present. Also, though the majority of MLAs are on Shinde’s side, we have to wait and see what verdict the voters will give in the next election.
Maharashtra politics have always been exciting and with the new developments, there is going to be enough drama to witness by the entire nation.
