Telangana is set to witness significant economic and technological growth as major companies commit to establishing facilities in the state. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s efforts have resulted in groundbreaking agreements with Unilever, Skyroot, and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), promising transformative projects across industries.
Unilever Expands Operations in Telangana
In a notable development, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy successfully persuaded Hein Schumacher, CEO of Unilever, to set up two manufacturing units in the state. One of these will focus on producing bottle caps, further boosting Telangana’s manufacturing sector. This move underscores Telangana’s growing appeal as a hub for global corporations.
Skyroot’s Private Rocket Facility
The Telangana government has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Skyroot, a Hyderabad-based space technology firm. Under the agreement, Skyroot will invest approximately Rs 500 crore to establish an integrated private rocket manufacturing, integration, and testing facility. This facility positions Telangana as a key player in India’s growing space technology sector.
MEIL’s Ambitious Infrastructure Projects
In addition to these developments, MEIL has committed to a massive investment of Rs 15,000 crore in Telangana. The company will develop a modern pumped storage power project, a battery energy storage system, and a wellness resort in Anantagiri Hills. These projects are expected to enhance the state’s energy infrastructure and promote tourism in the region.
