The fall of the rupee is a never-ending issue in the country. Over the last 10 years, there is a drastic decline in the value of the rupee against the US dollar. As per the latest reports, the rupee fell to a lifetime low of 79.58 against the US dollar in early trade on Tuesday.
Going by the stats, with regards to the interbank forex market on Tuesday, the rupee opened 13 paise lower at 79.58 against the US dollar. The rupee has clearly ended at a record closing low against the US dollar on Monday.
The partially convertible rupee closed trading at 79.4375/4475 per dollar in the local session. However, it is 79.25 on Friday. The unit touched a lifetime low of 79.44 and also surpassed the previous low of 79.3750 which was registered last week.
The government of India is facing a lot of criticism for this fall in the value of the rupee against the US dollar in the recent past.
When it comes to the domestic stats, the Sensex fell 0.41 percent whereas the nifty was down 0.47 percent.
