Ahead of the rumors about the Telangana CM KCR opting for early elections in the state, his son and TRS working president KTR issued clarity on the same, saying that the elections will take place in the state according to the schedule in 2023. KTR is the IT minister of the state, and he interacted with the media on Friday. In his interaction with the media, KTR blasted the opposition parties and expressed confidence in KCR becoming the CM for the third time.
“We have opted for a survey to understand the pulse of the people in the state, and we came to know that TRS has a chance to win more than 90 Assembly Constituencies in the coming elections,” said KTR.
“Telangana is the only state where the welfare schemes are implemented without any hurdles and time lapses. KCR is the only chief minister in the nation who increased employee salaries. I understand that there is a delay in transferring the amounts, but it is not a big issue, and we will sort it out in no time,” said KTR.
Addressing the controversy that KCR did not welcome Modi during his visit to Hyderabad, KTR said, “It is not compulsory to welcome the Prime Minister when he is on his private tour. When Manmohan Singh was the PM, Modi was the Gujarat CM. Modi also did not welcome Manmohan Singh in many occasions,” said KTR, blasting that the Modi government is acting partially towards Telangana.
When asked to react to the Congress party’s confidence about winning in Sirisilla, KTR said, “Rahul lost in Amethi, and Revanth Reddy lost in Kodangal. How can these people taste victory in Sirisilla?”
KTR also confidently stated that KCR would emerge as the chief minister for the third time again in the general elections scheduled for next year.
