With the huge debate between Eknath Shinde and Uddhav Thackeray regarding the Shiv Sena leadership, finally the Election Commission asked both of them to hand-over documentary evidence, proving that they have good majority members in the party.
Also, the Election Commission insisted both of them submit these documents on or before August 8, 2022. It is added that, after the submission only, the constitutional body will hear the matter.
Following this, both the parties should also submit the written statements that consist of their views on the dispute in the party that has taken place after 40 MLA’s along with Shinde revolted last month and formed a new government, with the BJP support. BJP leader and Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is designated as Shinde’s deputy for the new party Also Shinde faction requested the poll body to recognise their camp as the real ‘Shiv Sena’ and to give them the party’s bow-and-arrow poll symbol.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has reported hearing on August 1st regarding the petitions filed by both the factions.
