As a part of India’s 75th independence day celebration, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested all the Indians to have the national flag as their display pictures on their social media accounts between August 2 and 15.

Modi took to his social media account and wrote, “It is a special 2nd August today. When we are marking Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, our nation is set for Har Ghar Tiranga, a collective movement to celebrate our tricolor. I have changed the DP (display picture) on my social media pages and urge you all to do the same,”.

Following the same, many citizens changed their profile photos to national flags. Even BJP leaders, including Union ministers and chief ministers, switched their profile pictures on Twitter to the national flag.

A day after this announcement, Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, and the party’s official handles, on Wednesday, kept the image of India’s national flag differently. Rahul Gandhi changed his profile picture to a flag with the first prime minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru, holding it.

“The tricolor is the country’s pride. It is in the heart of every citizen,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi.

Taking a dig at this, many BJP leaders are asking Rahul Gandhi to look outside his family.
