Munugode Bypoll: Will Prof. Kodandaram oblige Congress’ request?

The Telangana state is going to witness yet another interesting by-poll war in the Munugode constituency. The constituency has turned crucial for all the parties in the state. While the ruling party, TRS wants to win it back, the opposition parties want to gain momentum by winning the seat ahead of the general elections. In this regard, the Congress sought the support of Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) headed by Prof. Kodandaram.

It is an interesting move by the Congress party as Prof. Kodandaram can be a crucial person to win the constituency. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy, and party working president Mahesh Kumar Goud met Prof. Kodandaram on Tuesday and held discussions with him on Munugode bypoll.

The senior Congress leaders sought the support of Kodandaram and he did not give his decision yet. Prof. Kodandaram who is the president of TJS had apparently assured the Congress leaders of coming back after discussing it in the party.

“We have held discussions with Prof. Kodandaram on Munugode bypoll and sought support. We are seeking support of all like-minded parties. We will not lose any opportunity to win the elections to suppress the domination of TRS,” said Mahesh Kumar Goud.

On the other hand, BJP is also trying its best to strengthen the cadre in the constituency.
