Rajinikanth has made it very clear that he is going to stay away from politics, citing the reason that his health is not supporting him. Although Rajinikanth decided to float a political party initially, he later stepped back on the same. For now, he is not interested in politics anymore and is also not affiliated with any political party. But, he is back in the news for political reasons.
The reports in the media state that Rajinikanth might be appointed as Governor and it’s the BJP that is taking up the task. Apparently, there are reports that Rajinikanth recently met with the top brass of the BJP leadership in New Delhi, and the discussion of his appointment as Governor also reportedly took place.
Rajinikanth also met the Tamilnadu governor and it has fueled the speculations that Rajinikanth might be getting the post very soon. With Rajinikanth making it clear to everyone that he will not support any political party, BJP might be chalking out this plan to catch the attention of his fans and followers.
Rajinikanth was also invited to the NITI Aayog meetings which raised a lot of eyebrows. As of now, nothing is confirmed and we have to wait for a formal confirmation.
