Ponniyin Selvan is one of the much-awaited projects being made in the South currently. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film features a bunch of talented actors. The project is termed a dream project of Mani Ratnam, and the promotions of the movie are currently in progress. Interestingly, Mani Ratnam thanked Rajamouli the other day at the film’s promotional event, and it is catching everyone’s attention now.
Usually, Rajamouli’s work is often compared to Mani Ratnam’s work. For sure, Mani Ratnam is way ahead of Rajamouli and even the Baahubali director will agree to the same.
However, the success of Baahubali and RRR made Rajamouli a bigger director than Mani Ratnam. But, Kollywood is not ready to accept the same. In this context, Mani Ratnam extending his thanks to Rajamouli is now trending all over social media.
“Thanks to Rajamouli. Without his Baahubali, we would have never thought to attempt a film like this,” said Mani Ratnam.
The film features Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Rahman.
AR Rahman is the music director of the prestigious project. The film’s first part will release on 30th September.
