TDP chief Nara Chandra Babu Naidu condemned the arrests made by police in Kuppam. He said that the ruling YSR Congress Party is creating unrest in Kuppam with the support of the local police. He condemned the arrest of former MLC G. Srinivasulu and 60 other TDP leaders who took part during his Kuppam visit.
Chandrababu alleged that YCP is trying to do politics in Kuppam with the help of the police. “Instead of doing these cheap politics, the government should focus on the state’s development. Yesterday is a black day in Kuppam’s history. This is how a criminal will rule the state. Why are YCP leaders destroying the Anna Canteen and TDP flexis in Kuppam? It was an initiative which has a noble idea behind it,” said Babu.
“Even though this initiative was introduced by Jayalalitha in Tamil Nadu, the current Chief Minister Stalin is not objecting to Amma Canteens’ run. I developed Pulivendula and brought water to Gandikota. But YCP is aiming to destroy Kuppam. We will not tolerate these atrocities and make sure to take strict actions against the ruling party,” he further added.
